That's right, heroes! Your faith in AQ3D is paying off big time and, together, we have reached our AQ3D Kickstarter goal of $200,000 in backer pledges! But, to quote the late, great Karen Carpenter, "We've only just begun".
SO... what happens now?
Now that we have hit our goal, we're not done raising funds. We begin "over-funding", which means we keep taking pledges until the deadline on January 1, 2016. You can still become a backer and a Founder of AQ3D until then. We also unlock STRETCH GOALS.

The $200,000 that we asked for was the bare minimum of what we needed to make AQ3D into the game we want, but more funding is obviously better for the game. It might mean things like the ability to hire on people that we couldn't otherwise like more coders to help Zhoom get things done quickly and cleanly or other people for luxury positions like a social media manager who can focus entirely on keeping you guys up to date with the game progress or a game economist to help balance out the game economy to better pave the way to a possible trade system. These are just examples and, like I said, they are luxury positions. These things need to be done but if we don't have to do them ourselves, then we can focus on the game content and get it done, tested and released faster.
A lot of people seem to think that once we hit the goal, the game would go live as if we were holding it hostage until you paid the Kickstarter ransom. In reality, we are raising these funds to COMPLETE the game. If you check each of the backer packages, you will see that the estimated date of delivery for the rewards is July 2016. We are shooting to have the game release-ready on (or before) that. Of course, those of you who backed to get early access will be offered access before anyone else on as many platforms as we can but as of now, we are still in Alpha testing. Please remember that this is an ESTIMATED date, and no dates are set in stone.
The money that you pledged will not be deducted until the Kickstarter closes on January 1st, 2016.

Celebrating. We knew that $200,000 was a lot to ask but you have completely humbled us with how much you believe in the project getting it 100% funded with 17 days to spare! This party won't last long. Now that you have backed us, we KNOW we will have the funding to finish AQ3D so we have a TON of work to do and tomorrow we hit the hyperdrive button. But today, just for one day, please join us is celebrating this amazing accomplishment.
Seriously, thank you. This was a scary adventure but you got us through it and now we have the burden of living up to your expectations. We will not let you down.
