Calling all Creators: Graphic Design Time

Hiiii heroes!!! Last week we announced the winners of the Screenshot Saturday contest and like, some of y’all went fantastically feral with filters, special effects, and designing actual band posters, and that gave us an amazing idea for our newest creative contest:

what if ~YOU~ made promo art for AQ3D?

Y’know, designing the stuff you see every week, like Design Notes banners, Twitter pics, and the “oooh I gotta click” images. Basically, all the things that make you go 👁️👄👁️ “that looks so cool, I need to see more immediately” but made by you & your creativity & maybe your 3rd… 4th… 5th?… cup of coffee.

If any of this resonates with you, this is your moment to ✨shine✨ in AQ3D!

Your Quest (aka contest rules)

1. Create promo art for anything AQ3D-related!

2. Everybody is welcome to participate, no matter your skillset & no matter if you’re Level 1 or Level 50

3. There’s no limit to how many submissions you enter, but we are judging based on quality and not quantity (see Judging Criteria section below)

4. At least 1 work-in-progress pic is required showing the use of layers

5. You can use Artix Entertainment art assets (such as the AQ3D logo w/ text, logo w/o text, the text-only AdventureQuest 3D, and the Artix Entertainment dragon), in-game screenshots, and/or your own drawings / creations!

Here are some ideas you can bring it to life; choose one or more of the following (or hecc, invent your own!) because your creativity + canvas + caffeine knows no limits:

📜 Design Notes header image

📺 AQ3D Title Screen

📱 App Icon and/or App Event promotions

🎉 Special Event or Concert announcements

🧙 Class information / guides

🛍️ Your favorite Bundle / armor set / monster / zone / etc

🖼️ Key Art for Steam, Facebook banner, or anything really!

Quest Turn-ins (aka requirements)

Every hero must submit these 4 sizes for every entry:

16:9 (1920x1080)

9:16 (1080x1920)

1:1 (1080x1080)

Work in Progress (WIP) screenshot showing your layers

This can be a screenshot of your work in Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator, GIMP, Procreate, or whatever program you use… essentially just SHOW us your secrets + layers panel in order to celebrate the design process ~and~ prove that you actually made it ;)

Side Quest (not required, but appreciated)

Feel free to tell us a little about yourself and your brain magic, such as:

Your history playing Artix games
What inspired you to create your graphic?
What program(s) did you use?
What changed between formats?
How did you approach your design?

Quest Rewards (aka contest prizes)

🥇 1st Place:
10,000 Dragon Crystals (or Artix Points equivalent of 7000 APs!)

🥈 2nd Place:
5,000 DCs (or AP equivalent)

🥉 3rd Place:
2,500 DCs (or AP equivalent)

🎖️ Runner-Ups:
1,000 DCs

As always, we may award additional prizes because being a game mod is basically god-mode 😛

Judging Criteria

We’ll be judging based on:

🎯 clarity & readability

📐 adaptability across formats

✍️ typography & layout

🎨 visual impact

💪 concept strength

Basically does it look good and make sense AND how well does it work across different sizes.

How to Enter

You can post on major social platforms like FB, X, IG, Discord, etc, but MORE IMPORTANTLY you must upload to your design(s) on

We’ll happily post and RT entries on our socials as they come in, but Google Form makes contest collection sooo much easier for the judges to judge… meaning DC prizes get awarded to YOU faster too!

Typography matters

By entering the contest, you certify that your entry was created by you using the tools made available to you.
Your work reflects your imagination and infinite creativity.
You did NOT commission your entry.
You grant Artix Entertainment and AdventureQuest 3D the right to use, reproduce, and/or modify the submitted artwork for all purposes across socials, websites, marketing, and the like.
Your work may be featured or adapted by AE and/or the AQ3D team (with credit, ofc!).

Okay okay OKAY I should probably wrap this up before I spiral into a 3,000 word tangent about typography… don’t test me, but I will ;) It makes me so ridiculously happy seeing how creative our community is. Whether you’ve been here since forever ago or you just showed up like
