There have been some questions about the new class system. You can earn them faster now. But players have had questions... so I want to explain it in more detail.
In the original system it took 30 days to earn a class. But that was way too long. We listened to feedback and we lowered it down to 20 days. By doing a quest every day you could earn tokens towards unlocking a class.
But players still thought this was way too long.
We recently released our first Tier II class, the Berserker. Before releasing it, we asked players if they wanted to keep the existing system or make it take less time with the exchange that they could only earn tokens towards one class each day. The result? There was a landslide of support for reducing the number of days to unlock a class down to just 7 days.
You can only have one class daily accepted at a time in your Quest Log. So, if you already have one and you try to get another, it will say the new one is not available. (Thanks for reporting this. We updated the notification text to be more clear.) This also applies to the Guardian only bonus quests.
"But I don't have tons of dailies to do anymore!" I mean, sure, class dailies are not the ONLY dailies to do in the game. But, suddenly people who were doing all of the class dailies each day could only do one. Which, the problem remains... What would you have done after 20 days? The solution seems pretty straight forward.
We need to add even more things that you can do in addition to the class quests. This includes... monster hunts, daily trophies, more daily bosses, special dungeon runs, and new quests with stuff to unlock.
In the previous post, we asked you which classes you'd like to see next. Needless to say, there has been overwhelming demand for a healer class. There has also been a lot of interest in a ranger class, which would be our first bow-wielding class. There was also a ton of requests for classes to be imported from our other games. We have been working on the Undead Slayer class, which is a derivative of the Paladin. We would be interested to know your thoughts on having other derivative classes, like Fire Warrior, where we'd mix Fire Mage and Warrior skills into a single class. While the classes above will take longer to create, the derivative classes are much faster to release. Stay tuned for more.
These questions are aimed at all you guys who log in to do dailies...
What kind of quests do you like best?
How long should they take to complete?
Should they be level restricted?
Do you prefer working toward rewards that unlock?
Would you like to have dailies that work toward items that get more powerful?
What kind of rewards would you like from daily content (keeping in mind that this is in addition to content from our regular releases)?
