GDC

We will be at GDC (Game Developer's Conference) 2017 showing off AdventureQuest 3D's True Cross-Platform capabilities in our newest saga, Ashfall. Want to get this years convention exclusive in-game without having to attend? Read on :D

GDC Details

Our Booth = VR, Mobile, PC, & Projector?

One of the coolest additions to our live demo will allow you to play AdventureQuest 3D while wearing a HTC Vive Virtual Reality Helmet. The weirdest part is you will be playing a special Ashfall Dragon Raid with the people standing next to you at the booth who will be on their phones, tablets, and a PC. Originally we were trying to get a big TV, but given how many conventions we will be doing this year-- it was way more cost effective to buy a "short throw" projector and collapsible screen that we could take on the plane with us. Our entire booth literally fits into a single bag now. We are still trying to find the best way to clamp the VR head set's motion detectors onto something high enough to work... we are going to find some clamps and attach them to the giant pull ups of Artix and Robina.

Ashfall... we are going live Monday. 100%. No matter what.

"You may see me struggle, but you will never see me quit."
Thank you for all of your patience and support. As you very likely know, we have had every challenge thrown at us building our 1st story driven saga, "The Dragons of Ashfall". From delays from the submission process, to a death in a team members family, to office-wide illness (still going), to major changes to our game's questing and dialog systems, and on a happy note- the birth of a vital team members new little girl. Ashfall will probably be "that thing" that we all persevered through together, and finally succeeded at, that our gaming community will always remember. The biggest sting, personally, was when we had everything ready to rumble last Tuesday (after I had finally, for the first time, given a firm, official launch date) and then... our game engine submission for one of the platforms was rejected. I know how much the community is looking forward to this release-- so, oh boy did I feel that one right in the gut. So what do we do now? Give up? HECK NO! We double checked for anything we could fix and instantly resubmitted. Meanwhile Cysero and the team started adding even more bonus content for the release-- something for you truly crazy players out there. Now, GDC is 100% dependent on Ashfall being live. In our wildest nightmares we never dreamed it would not be released by now. So we combed through the release and code, and came to the following conclusion. There are two features that are dependent on the newest version of the game engine. If we do not get approved by noon on Monday, we are going to strip out everything that uses those two features (which will suck, because one of them added a whole new type of item to the game) and release it anyway!  So that is the official plan. Either way, Ashfall releases on Monday! The servers will be offline for approximately 3 hours during the update for Ashfall.

Need a Ticket? We have 6 left to give away!

When we bought our booth for GDC it came with 10 Expo Passes. So we have 6 left to give away! Are you a loyal player of our games who lives in the San Fransisco area and REALLY wants to go to GDC but needs a ticket? Tell us why you would like one in the comment area below, and be sure to let us know how to contact you (like "My AQ3D character name is Artix, please email me using the email on my game account.")  If you have a friend who would like to go, share this post with them. We will be reading and awarding tickets on Monday! (If you already posted something on another page or social media account, please repost it here!)

Want the Convention Exclusive item without attending? Here is how...

Normally, you need to attend a convention and show us you have the game installed to get an exclusive item... BUT!!! GDC is a conference where the majority of people attending will be Press, Twitch streamers, Bloggers, and YouTubers O_O.

What does that mean?
It means instead of just giving away codes at the conference, we will also be giving stacks of codes to your favorite gaming new sites & streamers -- you know, for them to give out to their viewers/readers/followers, like you.

But how will YouTubers, Twitch Streamers, and Press Sites know they should get AQ3D codes for you?
Excellent question! You should tell them. O_O Seriously. If you see any of your favs tweeting about GDC, remind them to stop by the AdventureQuest 3D booth and get codes to give out (to you and your fellow players.)

This is a great way to get involved and help out the game. All you need to do is politely encourage celebs/streamers/blogs/news that are at GDC to stop by our booth-- I will do the rest.

BATTLE ON!
