The shadows are speak to those who listen. Can you hear them? Will you answer? When the times comes... will you allow yourself to be seduced by power darkness grants?
As a Loremaster, it is my duty to report on such things. Such terrible, dreadful things. But these recent discovered have chilled me to my very bone. Albiet a bit easier to do considering I am quite dead. The whole living bit is not an official requirement of being a Loremaster you see. Books mind little who writes in them. Well, except that one book. Fancied itself a Paladin. Tried to exorcise me when I flipped it open to page 7. A cheap trick that I, for one, shan't fall for again. Where was I? Oh yes... the dreadful things. The shadows. These are by no means ordinary shadows. They are creatures from another plane. An entire dimension made up of only shadow and darkness as best I can tell. They have come to our world. I don't think it's for vacation-- because the sun kills them near instantly. Also the crimson lake makes for a terrible beach. With that skeletal hand sticking out of the water... always waving at you like it wants you to throw a weapon at it. Creeps me out-- and I AM undead. Anyway, where were we? Oh yes... the Shadows... and the dreadful thing. See, the sun does not always kill them. Not if they-- hmmm, how do you even say this? Not if they bind themselves to something. A sword or staff. A suit of armor. Things like that. Be warned should you see such a thing. Perhaps I understated by using the word dreadful. Dread is just a feeling. These things feel more like... DOOM.
