Greetings, Heroes of Lore! TL;DR for this week’s update: The full Design Notes will be available today—stay tuned!
- New Level 10 Questline:
- The Island of the Dead is getting a new mini questline to assist in gearing up while progressing through the zone.
- Meant to be short enough to keep progress fast while offering a reward for players who are willing to go beyond the main questline.
- Even More Gorses and Goonicorns:
- Statues have arrived in the Ghoulish Glen (You know who you are who asked for it) along with a daily to obtain Vials of Goo.
- Green Derped Goonicorn has arrived!
- The Wanderling Light Daily:
- Lady Phimion in the Battleon Cemetary now has a daily quest to get extra Motes of Wandering Light.
- New Action Bar and Skill System:
- We’ve opened up the action bar to allow for placements of an additional skill.
- Things you can equip in the new slot system.
- Cross Skills = The Rank 10 Skill you unlock that works across all classes
- Base Skills (NEW) = All PVP Skills except Recover, Recall, and Refresh
- PVP Skills = Only usable in PVP
- Heroic Skills (NEW) = Skills you can buy, get as a drop or quest reward
- Heroic Skills functionality has been built but none have been placed into the game yet. However we’ve made a new Base Skill known as Quickstep, this should fill the roll of a dodge roll people were requesting.
- While we are just releasing with 2 slots today, functionality to go all the way to 5 has been built as futureproof depending on how this first phase of the release goes. Feedback appreciated!
- New Base Skill - Quick Step:
- Quickstep allows you to dash in the direction your character is facing, this skill doesn’t go very far but with it’s short cooldown of 5 seconds with proper skill you should be able to dodge in and out of AoE attacks.
