All of us on #TeamRobbie should rejoice today with the news that long time player & friend, Robbie's brain tumor is shrinking. I just got the good news from his sister.
The musician, artist, Friday the 13th regular, and gothic icon... Aurelio Voltaire, is back on tour. He has a show here in Tampa next Sunday and looks like he will, at along last, get to come visit us at the new lab. (New to him at least -- we have been in this building for 6 years now O_O). He recorded a new song while overseas that... has a special meaning to me. Maybe we can talk a little more about it when he is here.
Got to catch up with our beloved shaman, Slifsgaard. He is a Doctor in real life (Fitting!) He has switched medical facilities since the last time we spoke. He is doing well. Like his in-game character, he is a very spiritual, supportive, and wise person.
Zakaru, the half-dragon Necromancer, occasionally joins our live streams with MJ. We caught up on a surprisingly long phone call which revealed his new passion for game development. He has begun taking the steps to learn... and figure out what part he likes doing best. Needless to say I was happy to offer him an overkill amount of information. I hope to continue being a good resource for him-- but, lol, I am a brutal results-oriented success coach.
We were contacted by a major record label. Like, one you would recognize without even needing to Google. It would appear that one of the dreams we had for AdventureQuest 3D may be starting to manifest. Sorry to drop one of these ambiguous bits of good news on you... this is sorta like when I found out that the Designated Survivor TV show wanted to use our game for an episode. Oh, but talking about that. I also talked to the producer that worked with us on that. He is working on a Hand Maid's Tale now (no, the game will not be in that one, LOL), which is pretty cool and he asked me to participate in some secret new book project.
The dark yet positive-message-laced band, the Cruxshadows, was on tour recently. We got to meet up at their Tampa show and reconnect. It has been a while since they appeared in AdventureQuest Worlds. Recently, there music has been part of some online music battle-royale where fans vote on two songs. The team and I have been doing out part. Would you like me to notify you when the next one starts?
It's about Midnight, so too late to jinx it. This was the first weekend of this entire year... where we had no DDOS attacks. In other words, this was the first weekend were the team got to sleep on Friday and Saturday night. Gotta celebrate the small victories when you can.
I think there are only 3 people on the entire planet who are not caught up on Game of Thrones. Two of them somehow work at the lab O_O. The new season is starting up soon (April 14th)-- and a few other good shows released new seasons.
