Wandering Light Saga: Crypt of Mortis Part II
Wandering Light Saga: Crypt of Mortis Part II
The Saga continues! Floors 2 and 3 have opened up within the Crypt of Mortis. Lady Phimion and the hero (That's you!) have no choice but to venture deeper into the crypt and face the horrors that the Hand of Mortis has conjured. Alongside the 2 new floors of story quests, we've also added a daily quest to defeat the boss that awaits you on floor 3. For those of you keeping track, we are now 3 floors deep into the 12-floor dungeon and have access to the first of 4 total bosses.
Lore-Formed Ram
The Lore-Formed Ram is the newest critter to join the roster of Lore's ever-expanding roster of mounts. This elemental ram was formed from the essence of Lore herself. Available as a mount, a travel form, or as a pet, this is one way to get your hands on some RAM that won't break the bank. (That's a computer joke) Along with the critters, we've also added a new Earth Day quest to unlock sets of Ram Horns that will be wearable for your character, with two exclusive variants for guardians.

The Rams come in 5 varieties (And yes, their horns too!), 4 of which are based on the different seasons. There is sure to be a variant that matches your style!

New Raw Sets
In the last post, I put a question out to you guys... "What sets would you like to see get the RAW treatment?" So bam! The RAW Drake Hunter set and the RAW Wolf Bone Set have both been added to AQ3D and are obtainable for Guardians via the same method as their normal variants.

New Garogyle Pets
Let's take a look at some of the rewards you can expect to earn. It should be noted that we will be expanding the list of rewards as we expand the dungeon. But to start with, we've got a variety of Gargoyle pets to choose from, including the Hellhound, which you can see on the far right of the above image.

Doom Drake
We saw feedback about the appearance of the Doom Drake model within the Battle Concert. People wanted it as a pet and a travel form. Well, rest assured, we heard your feedback! It also just happened to fit really well with the theme of this release!

Ancient Palaidn Axes
When we released Lumenion, it felt like the perfect time to reintroduce the Classic Paladin set back into the game after its disappearance. That set never had a weapon attached to it, but this felt like a really good time to expand on that and offer a version of the Blinding Light of Destiny inspired by the original appearance of Artix's axe from AdventureQuest. For those who do not know, Artix's axe didn't have the regal details and insignia in the center that it's now known for having. It was actually just a golden axe. While I worked directly with Artix during the development Dungeons & Doomknights I tormented our poor paladin with so many questions about the AdventureQuest series, as a superfan my whole life, it was like a dream come true to work on a project with the man himself and be able to ask questions about the game's setting, developments, and its iconic items. One question I asked was about the Blinding Light of Destiny, where his influence for it came from... did you know the Blinding Light of Destiny is inspired by He-Man's axe? Double-bladed axes like the Blinding Light of Destiny were actually rarely used in real life! Which I had no idea, but I guess it makes sense since a double-bladed axe isn't very practical, but man, they look cool.

Raw Ancient Paladin Set
The Ancient Paladin (Formerly known as Classic Paladin set before it got brought back for the Lumenion fight as a drop) was released before we started releasing RAW variants as Guardian exclusive rewards. Since we added the axe, I thought it'd be fun to revisit the Ancient Paladin set and give it the proper RAW treatment. Genuinely, I think this set looks better with the monochrome RAW look than colored, which is pretty out of character for me since I love color. Are there any sets you guys would like to see get the RAW treatment? These are super quick to produce now, and I think giving freedom of choice of which variation of a set to wear really expands on players' freedom to mix and match sets and really fine-tune their looks.

Lil' Reaper
He's here! Earnable via Motes of Wandering Light, the Lil' Reaper comes as a pet, travelform, shoulder piece, and a back accessory! So you can find which way you want to be haunted by this lil fella. Oh, and for guardians, you can get him in RAW too if you want!

Cultist Robes
We've added different variations of the cultist robes that you can obtain from the shop as well. So it's like a bag of Skittles... just probably old and gross and... smells like death. (Do not eat.)

Legion Titan Update
We've got the system built for cosmetic spellforged effects now! So you can be a BIGBOY COSMETICALLY. (We've also gone ahead and updated the Tidal Caretaker's Beacon, so go nuts mixing and matching)

Limited Time Shop Update
The Dusty Bloom Pike has sprouted in the limited‑time shop! This floral‑forged weapon blends elegance with lethality, blooming with soft desert‑rose tones and petal‑sharp edges. It’s a perfect fit for heroes who like their style fierce and fashionable. It will remain available until the first release of next month, so if this botanical beauty speaks to you, be sure to grab it before it wilts away.
The Sky Bloom Pike drifts into the shop as a lighter, airier counterpart to its dusty sibling. With sky‑touched hues and a design inspired by high‑altitude blossoms, this weapon feels like it was plucked straight from a floating garden. You’ll find it in the limited‑time shop for the next month only. If you’re looking to add a little serenity to your stab‑based combat, now’s the time.
From the depths of the Legion’s forges comes the Legion Titan Spear and Shield, a matching set built for warriors who want their presence felt before they even enter the battlefield. With cold steel, glowing runes, and a silhouette that screams “unstoppable,” this set is a must‑have for collectors of darker, heavier gear. This duo will remain in the limited‑time shop until the first release of next month, so if they call to you, answer before they vanish back into the shadows.

New Treasure Chest Reward
The Void Bloom Pike has been added as a new treasure chest reward, twisting the elegance of the Bloom line into something far more ominous. Its void‑touched petals and crimson glow make it a standout prize for collectors who enjoy their cosmetics with a hint of menace.

Monthly Promo: Bloom Pike
The Bloom Pike has taken root in this month’s promo lineup! This elegant, nature‑forged spear is yours when you purchase any package from the Upgrade Shop. Its polished metal and budding floral accents make it a perfect blend of beauty and bite. And for our Guardians, there’s even more to love. You’ll unlock an exclusive variant as a bonus. Both versions will remain available until the first release of next month, so don’t miss your chance to add this botanical blade to your collection.
Battle on,
Clarion and the AdventureQuest 3D Team
