If you backed Artix's NES passion project "Dungeons & DoomKnights", you can now get your rewards in game. Check Kickstarter for instructions.
Missed out? It's not too late. You can still back this project through BackerKit.
This project, which was announced on April Fools day, turned out to be real. Artix is creating a physical game cartridge for the original 1985 NES video game system called Dungeons & DoomKnights. 1,000 total cartridges are being created.
The rewards we created for those who are making this project possible are inspired by the 8-bit art.... turned into 3D graphics for AdventureQuest 3D, and into vector art for AdventureQuest Worlds.
Dungeons and DoomKnights is a "Zeldavania". A fusion of two of my favorite childhood games. One of which came on a glorious golden cartridge. This is how I always imagined the game. Today, I placed the order with the vendor for 600 of them (the other 400 are classic NES Gray).
Once you use the codes that come with your Dungeons & DoomKnights pledge, you can access the reward items at the bank.
Also, we will be releasing an 8-bit community reward for ALL players of AdventureQuest 3D when the game launches. This will happen the week we send out the final ROM and ship the game to backers. You and every player of AdventureQuest 3D will be able to get this item from the collection.
Thank you again for being so supportive of AdventureQuest 3D and our team's other creative video game projects.
Dungeons & DoomKnights is still available through BackerKit.
