We've been working toward this since day one. You guy can finally access the Android version of AQ3D! You will be able to play with anyone using the Android version OR the Steam version. It's all the same world.
UPDATE: This is a super old post. We are actually live on Android and everyone can play for free
NOTE: This is still a Closed Beta and you still need Early Access to test. While anyone can join the community, and any android user should be able to download the app... you can still only login and play if you have Early Access. If you can't play on Steam, you can't play on Android either, until you Become a Guardian and a Founder or wait until Open Beta.
Most of the sign up process CAN be done from your PC or MAC but I HIGHLY recommend that you just do the whole thing on your Android device so you don't have to switch over toward the end to install it.
At that point, you're going to want to be on your Android device (since you can't install the Android version on your computer)
Great!
Well, not GREAT great, but this is to be expected.
PLEASE REPORT ALL ANDROID BUGS ON THE BUG REPORTS SECTION OF THE GOOGLE PLUS GROUP!
We EXPECT crashes and we don't want them to be a surprise to you. This isn't a finished game. We are still in closed beta and we are relying on YOU guys to not just tell us what's fun but to report your bugs so we can make a better, cleaner, more stable build that as many people as possible can run. ALL ANDROID BUGS should be reported right there on the Bug Reports section.
You might have noticed that there are other sections available to discuss the game. We encourage you to use these to talk about AQ3D. Please keep in mind that anyone breaking of the posted rules will have their testing access removed without warning or second chances.
Also keep in mind that AQ3D is an MMO and it tosses a LOT of DATA back and forth. I highly suggest getting on Wifi so you don't murder your monthly mobile bill.
Other than that... have fun!
Google and Apple have very different methods of testing their mobile apps. Google can essentially allow an unlimited number of people to test an app. All you need to do is join the community and install the APK. Apple has a very strict testing environment. Each app can only have 2000 testers (recently raised from 100 but still far too few seats for AQ3D testers) and instead of simply joining the community, we would need to add each tester manually and then set their permissions manually which makes it all but impossible to have a large closed testing group.
I'm afraid that you, my fellow iOS users, will need to wait until Open Beta to download AQ3D onto your iPhones and iPads directly from the Apple App Store.
