Have you been binging on that Netflix show "Tidying up with Marie Konda"? It is a show about cleaning up your home. This is my bad fan-fic of what would happen if she helped gamers with their messy backpack inventories.
Pictured above: Taking this post too far by making a character that looks a little bit like her. Maximum tribute engaged!
So there have been quite a few laughs at my expense for my obsession with the Netflix show. It is one of those make-over shows... but unlike any make-over show that I have seen. ( Hey, do not judge me! :) Marie Kondo is a super grateful, and rather petite Japanese lady, who goes to peoples messy houses and teaches them the principles from her book "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese art of Decluttering and Organizing". The concept is pretty simple... please allow me to comically over-simplify it further. You thank your house, throw all of your junk into a single pile, then... one at a time, you go through your things determining if it has a "spark of joy". If it does, you keep it. If not, you thank it and discard it to charity or the garbage can.
O_O
Imagine an episode of this show completely taking place in our online game world. She would come in, introduced herself to you. Allow you to talk about your woes of having too little inventory space, too many awesome items.... cluttering your backpack and bank vaults. Then she would do a ceremony where instead of thanking the house, she would invite you to join her in sitting down and "introduce yourself to the game", expressing your gratitude for the fun and adventure it brings you. Then.... you would have to go through each of your items, one at a time, equip it, and determine if it brings you a "Spark of Joy". You would do this for some time until you felt an indescribable feeling of inner happiness from the items you chose to keep. But then you would go to the next zone we release... fill up your backpack and have to do it *coughs* ALL OVER AGAIN O_O. STOP MAKING SO MANY AWESOME ITEMS DAGE & THYTON! She would have to come back to the game... a lot.
If any of you know her, please ask her to stop by :D Seriously.
Also, if you have Netflix you should check out the show. What she teaches may seem simple, but there is something deeper to it that has resulted in me loving pretty much everything more. And no, I was not paid or requested in any way to make this post. I just love the show. Clean on!
