Introducing the Item Augment System!

Augments allow you to build upon the stats of your items. Here's the guide to Augments!

Greetings, heroes! This is Blaze, and I'm here to tell you all about our new AQ3D game feature: Augments. Item Augments are the newest way to customize your build and increase your power level. Each statted item you get from now on will have a chance to have an augment attached to it. Augments can increase or decrease any of your stats depending on which augment you get.

What is an Augment?

An augment is a quality of an item you get that boosts its stats in some way. There are a certain number of augments, each with its own name and stat boosts. You can see an items augment by opening it up in your inventory. The augment name is listed below the power, with a gem next to it representing its rarity.

What do augments do?

You can check what an augment does by tapping on the name, which will bring up a graph showing which stats are being boosted and by how much. It will look like this.

You may notice the units are not labeled on the bottom, this is because the units are actually pretty confusing. The numbers are how much the items control is being affected, which is what is used to calculate the stat of the item based on its level and rarity. This is a lot and not intuitive so we left that out since all you really need to know is, what stats are affected, and how much relative to other modifiers.

Augment Rarity

Some Augments are rarer than others. The rarities range from common (no gem) to mythic (crystal hexagon). The odds of getting each augment is displayed on this panel. The higher the rarity of the augment, the more it will boost stats. Each rarity has augments for each of the stats, so you will always be able to fine tune your build which stats you want be that defense, offense, or something in between.

What if I don’t like my augment?

There are 2 ways of getting augments right now. The first is just getting the item. If I want great frogzard boots, I can just keep grinding up zards and grabbing boots, each set of boots will get an augment independently.

“But what about the end game items? Those hard to get items that take huge grinds to get. I don’t want to grind it every time to have a chance at something different!” Well have no fear hero, thats what augment rerolling is for! If you head to Maximus over at Cysero’s forge, you will see a new Augment reroll option. Pick the item that you’d like to augment and you’ll be able to roll a new augment with gold.

So where can I find the stats for the augments?

Right here! *Boom. Image*

But wait there’s more!

There is 1 more augment not pictured that is the Mythic augment. This is on purpose to keep the augment more mysterious. However do not fear because the community has your back! To kick off the launch of the new augment feature, I will be holding a small event on social media. The first 5 people to tweet me (or X me now? Idk) with a mythic augment, I will give them each 2000 DCs. The requirements are you must include an image of you and the item in game with the mythic augment applied. Your character name must be visible as well.
