Exciting Updates on our New Class, Augment System, and Player Suggestions

We’ve been busy busy over here and can’t wait to share all the new new with you.

Hey there gamers! I’ve been excitedly talking to the team and we're thrilled to bring you the latest updates on game developments and player suggestions. The past few weeks have been filled with incredible progress and infinite caffeine, and we can't wait to share all the newness with you. So, without further ado, let's do the new!

Introducing the New Class: Oracle

Our game devs have been hard at work crafting an entirely new Class that will bring a fresh and unique playstyle to AQ3D. We're happy to announce that the Oracle – a damage support Class with some interesting debuffs – is well underway, and we're making great strides in shaping this spectacular addition into our world. The Oracle’s abilities look AMAZING, unlike anything you’ve ever seen in the game – and unlike anything you’ve seen on the Design Notes. Boom!

Note: Class abilities are still in testing, so the way things look are subject to change once we test all this big explody stuff in the real virtual world.

Augment System / Stat Modifiers

We are constantly trying to improve AQ3D to enhance your gaming experience. That's why we've been actively testing and polishing our new Stat Modifier system that, well, modifies stats on your items. This system will provide even more depth and strategic choices, allowing you to fine-tune your favorite gear like never before. The team is working hard to ensure a smooth and balanced implementation of the Stat Augment System, and we can't wait for you to try it out since it is VERY close to being released!

Accomplished Player Suggestions

Artix Entertainment always values your input and suggestions, and we're proud to announce that our amazing development team has been hard at work addressing your feedback. We've collected your suggestions from ~2 years ago until now, and even though it was (and still is) a HUGE undertaking, we are happy to report that many player-suggested ideas have already been turned into reality, with more player suggestions in the works, too! Thank you all so much for being an integral part of our game's evolution 🫵💖🙌

Because I’m trying to make my DN posts a tad bit shorter since I can literally talk for hours and hours, here's a hefty handfuls of things players have brought up that we have crossed off the list:

  • Scaling issues: some players have reported scaling to be over-tuned. Scaling has gone through many iterations and should feel a lot better now.
  • AQ3D is not on the Mac App Store: while this is technically true, you can still download AQ3D from Steam and play it on your Mac! It’s how I play the game :) Furthermore, a Mac with Apple Silicon Chip can even download the iPad version directly on your computer via the Mac App Store, so you can play that way as well! 
  • Tainted Diamond Shard Repeatable Quest: Nulgath wanted to make it impossible for you to abandon this quest, so our team stepped into action to fix this issue. 
  • Implement a cross-skill that targets multiple enemies: this is already in game!
  • Insufficient advertisement for the game: ads are very expensive and getting even more costly. We place as many ads as we can afford, but we can always rely on your help, too: simply tell your friends to play AQ3D with you!
  • Request closure regarding the departure of team members: Artix Entertainment allows team members to determine whether they want a private or public exit, and we always respect & heed each wish. 
  • Add a gap closer or aggro swapping feature: classes have gap closers or aggro abilities depending on the class.
  • Walking NPCs in Battleon: our NPCs are trying to hit their 10,000 steps goal every day, so they’ve been walking around town!
  • More music, ambience, and sound effects for zones and combat: Jongaar has been doing a spectacular job, and the team is eager to show off more of his work!
  • Fiendish Eyes in Pink: I positively SWEAR I did not suggest this one! You *can* get Pink Fiendish Eyes as these are color customizable by eye color.
  • We want a Summer Collection with themed items: this has been done, too! And keep a lookout for this year’s Summer Collection, arriving next week.
  • There’s more I wanna cover, but since this post has gone on long enough, we’ll save additional highlights for another time 🤩

We're committed to making AQ3D the best it can be, and your valuable suggestions have always been driving our progress forward.
