Excitement on the Horizon!

New Nulgath, Gold boost, and new Augment system releasing this week, plus a new creative contest launching Friday, and updates on new game features too!

Happy day, everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend, and I hope your Monday wasn’t bad either. Mondays are notoriously busy – and oftentimes unpleasant 😵 – but yesterday was one of the greatest Mondays in recent memory. The AQ3D team had a fantastic meeting full of all kinds of exciting announcements, only to be matched with even more excitement during my call with Alina, Glisel, Despair, and Yoshino. I could (and did) gush for hours, so hoping to keep this DN post short and sweet and not a novel like I am absolutely capable of.

New game release this week

We are aiming for a BIG Wednesday release: Nulgath is hurling more content at you, a glimmering Gold boost will buff your bank account, and the new Augment system will take your battles to brand new heights! Blaze is writing up an Augment system guide for you, which I’ll link here once that’s posted; he just tweeted a finalized list of Augment values here. Everyone on the team cannot wait to see the crazy awesome builds you come up with, so we look forward to seeing you parading your prowess on Facebook, Twitter, Insta, and Discord!

Speaking of….

New contest this Friday

With over 20,000 awesome adventurers on Discord, it’s the absolute perfect time to host a relatable contest. We have such a creative community and thought it would be buckets of fun to do a “Design a Discord Emoji” contest! I am still writing up the details and rules, but I foresee the contest launching this Friday, July 28.

Animated GIFs and normal PNGs / JPEGs will be accepted in order to welcome everyone to participate! Check out the current emoji offerings on our Discord channel to see what’s already there, and start brainstorming over what YOU are going to create for the contest!

New new in the works

There’s so much new in the pipeline it’s a bit overwhelming, but that’s part of the fun! So here is what the team has been working on behind the scenes, listed in no particular order:

Player Housing: early testing! Our devs are able to place items, rotate objects, and, perhaps most importantly, climb on the things in the house! The functionality is still in the early stages, but we have a lot of foundational work done on housing, no pun intended. Grid snapping / degree snapping will be a thing, and you will also be able to see the house owner moving items around in real time, too! Check out Dage’s Twitter for the first preview on housing.
Guild Housing: psssst, this will also be a thing…
Guild Updates: mostly done! The team is working on leaderboards now, and we are just about ready to test. You can read about the new Guilds features here.
Cosmic Set: it will be out of this world, lol!
In-Game Mail System: no junk mail, promise. This feature will probably be launched next. I’m working with Baht on this!
New Intro: prolly not exciting for our higher level players, but we are working on streamlining the intro and better balancing the beginning of the game to welcome new players to Battleon!
Dual Reward System: another Quality of Life update will be the addition of dual rewards for quests. This will allow you to choose your reward, versus just being given whatever the NPC wishes to dish out.
New Oracle Class: bug fixes and balancing to get things right. The Oracle should have seen it coming…
Next Week: the August promo item arrives! So this is kinda your last chance to get your gauntlets on July’s promo, the Wave Breaker Blades!

Epilogue

Well. It seems I did in fact write a novel, so an Epilogue is therefore befitting of such a grand story. If you couldn’t already tell by the 20 exclamation marks in this post, it’s clear that the devs and I are so super excited over all the new things coming to AQ3D – and we certainly hope you share in the excitement as well!
